Summative Alternate ELPAC Scale Score Ranges
The Summative Alternate ELPAC provide a consistent, standardized measurement of English language proficiency (ELP) across
the state for students with the most significant cognitive disabilities. The Summative Alternate ELPAC
assess English learner students in an integrated manner:
Expressive (Speaking and Writing) and Receptive (Listening and Reading) skills.
In addition, to ensure students can fully access and participate in the Summative Alternate ELPAC,
they can use their individually preferred receptive and expressive communication modes.
Students will receive an Overall score that falls into one of three levels.
