Summative Alternate ELPAC Scale Score Ranges

The Summative Alternate ELPAC provide a consistent, standardized measurement of English language proficiency (ELP) across the state for students with the most significant cognitive disabilities. The Summative Alternate ELPAC assess English learner students in an integrated manner: Expressive (Speaking and Writing) and Receptive (Listening and Reading) skills.

In addition, to ensure students can fully access and participate in the Summative Alternate ELPAC, they can use their individually preferred receptive and expressive communication modes.

Students will receive an Overall score that falls into one of three levels. The table below shows which scores fall within each range.
