Initial Alternate ELPAC Scale Score Ranges
            The Initial Alternate ELPAC provide a consistent, standardized measurement of English language proficiency (ELP) across 
                the state for students with the most significant cognitive disabilities. The Initial Alternate ELPAC 
                assess potential English learners in an integrated manner: 
                Expressive (Speaking and Writing) and Receptive (Listening and Reading) skills.
            
            In addition, to ensure students can fully access and participate in the Initial Alternate ELPAC, 
                they can use their individually preferred receptive and expressive communication modes.
            
            Students will receive an Overall score that falls into one of three levels. As the Initial Alternate 
                ELPAC is only administered once to eligible students, the same scale score ranges are used for 
                all grade levels. The table below shows which scores fall within each range.
